Land of Jhoram
Jhoram was a fertile flatland in Asia where the Drokpa thrived, sustained by a unique plant called tsemaize, which they believed was a blessing from dragons. Tsemaize was central to their culture, used for tools and art. When outsiders discovered its properties, greed led to war, and the Drokpa were ultimately defeated, leaving their land ravaged and haunted by restless spirits known as Rigdral. The surviving tribespeople fled, abandoning their once-vibrant homeland.

Tsemaize is a rare, corn-like plant native to Jhoram, once common but now scarce due to war. The Drokpa value it for its cultural significance, preserving ancient crafts made from it. When mixed with morchu acid, tsemaize forms a metal-like clay
Yeshe uses a dragon mask made of animal bones to scare off rigdrals—spirits that fear dragons and the scent of tsemaize.
The Chagkhar is a large beetle which the Drokpa build their mobile homes on top of. It steers with reins linked to a wheel. These houses burn tsemaize in chimneys and fireplaces to repel rigdrals, with entrances decorated for added protection.
Rigdral are vengeful spirits of warriors who died defending Jhoram, now blinded by rage and attacking indiscriminately after dark. Their tsemaize-forged armor varies by rank.The calming scent of tsemaize can soothe them and allow the spirits to find peace
The Morchu, a unique bird from Jhoram, stores sweet acid in its pouch that attracts locusts threatening tsemaize crops and helps the Drokpa soften tsemaize for crafting. Once kept as pets for acid access, they were released after the war.
